TALC

Talc or talcum is a clay mineral composed of hydrated magnesium silicate. Talc can be white, grey or green in color. Talc is used in many industries, including paper making, plastic, paint and coatings, rubber, food, electric cable, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, and ceramics. It is often used for surfaces of laboratory table tops and electrical switchboards because of its resistance to heat, electricity and acids. Talc finds use as a cosmetic (talcum powder), as a lubricant, and as filler in paper manufacture. It is used to coat the insides of inner tubes and rubber gloves during manufacture to keep the surfaces from sticking. Talc, with heavy refinement, has been used in baby powder. Talc is highly resistance to heat and electricity, and is therefore used in electronics and as an insulator. It is also a filler material for paints, rubber and insecticides. Talc is also used as an ornamental stone, being carved into figures, jewelry boxes, tiling, and art sculptures. Since it is so soft, it is very easily cut and carved. Talc can be supplied in Lumps form, powdered form based on the requirement of the customer.
